Continuing on my career journey, holding my valued identity and skills as elearning developer, innovator and leader in an evolving academic identity I want to develop my teaching leadership skills and experience. From academic year 2023/2024 I will take up Deputy Director of the PGCertTL at Heriot-Watt University and Deputy Lead of Exploring Learning Spaces course. This together with leading the roll out of the curriculum design workshops across all campuses will allow me to contribute to a number of key strategic institutional objectives.
This will be in parallel with completion of my PhD, which will allow me to undertake new research opportunities including sharing outputs from my research on reflective practice. Generating new connections and working on collaborative projects is a core element of my working practice and I would like to explore these more widely across higher education and following my PhD return to small grant project submissions and collaborations.
Inclusion and accessibility will continue to be my passion work and I will take every opportunity to advocate and lead in this area.
For my own professional development I would love to explore the possibility of visiting other universities outwith the UK and Ireland to learn from their experiences and share knowledge in completely different settings.
